Lincon Hire Ltd of Darra, Queensland, was recently brought in to supply a Barin AB 10.5 Combi underbridge inspection unit for works on the Indooroopilly Railway bridge.

The 208.5 m long Indooroopilly Railway bridge is made of a steel truss design. It crosses the Brisbane River, providing links to Indooroopilly and Chelmer stations.

The AB 10.5 Combi, recently delivered to Lincon Hire, can be used for rail and road work. Its bucket can be deployed from both the left and right side of the vehicle. For road service, it offers a maximum horizontal underbridge reach of 10.5 and an overhead reach of 14 m.

For rail service it offers a maximum horizontal underbridge reach of 10.5 m and an overhead reach of 13.3 m.

The machine is fitted on a standard three-axle Scania truck, which is also fitted with railway axles. The machine can run on two different railway gauges: 1067 m and 1435 m.
