XCMG has introduced a new compact boom lift to Europe, with its first appearance and sales being at the Innovationstag exhibition in Germany earlier this month.

The new 12m working height XGA12ACK has an advanced control system, ergonomic and lubricant-free design, with a range of configuration options.

According to the manufacturer the compact dimensions of the model means that three units can be loaded in one standard container.

Compact performance

Performance wise, the machine’s 35% gradeability complements the Z-design combination boom, offering flexible vertical and horizontal extensions over challenging obstacles.

The small turning radius of 3.25m makes it more flexible in narrow spaces, while the jib can work to ±90° and the platform can be rotated by 160°, providing a larger operating range.

With a width of 1190mm, the unit offers zero tail swing, while the two-wheel AC electric drive and differential control is designed to reduce tyre wear and motor overload.

The electro-hydraulic proportional control system allows for greater energy-savings and smooth operation.

There is also an independent emergency power source for situations where the machine has to be overridden.

In addition, there is chassis tilt protection, a platform overload alarm, emergency landing, speed limit, and flexible start-stop technology, among other safety measures.
