Yanmar Turkey Makine, a subsidiary of Yanmar, has rebranded its its e-commerce rental platform. The service will now be known as YTRent.

Launched in 2016 under the Makinagetir name, the platform allows private owners and businesses to make money renting underused equipment while offering users the opportunity to access a wide range of industrial equipment.

Yanmar said that since launching it has facilitated over 12,000 rental transactions in Turkey spanning across the Aegean, Central Anatolia and Marmara regions.

To date, it has more than 4,000 users and 7,000 registered machines.

With the rebrand, the company said it aims to expand its services and identity, enabling it to position itself “as a comprehensive solution partner” in the rental sector.

Can Vapurcu, digital systems and e-commerce business line manager, Yanmar Turkey Makine, said, “We aim to lead the digitalisation of the machine rental sector and develop online processes in line with customer needs.

“With the innovations we plan to introduce in 2024, we hope to expand this business model beyond Turkey, promoting the online machine rental model in other markets.”

Meanwhile, Yanmar said that it intends to add intermediary services for obtaining TÜRKAK and ISO certificates in 2024. That follows the recent additions of agricultural machinery and equipment into its services.
