In just a few shortweeks the attention of the world's construction and demolition & recycling industries will shift to Las Vegas, USA. Between March 15 and 19, more than 100,000 industry professionals from around the world will descend on the city for the ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005 show. In this the first of two ConExpo previews, D&Ri reports of just a few of the new products to look out for and outlines some additional show info.
This month we feature three quite different demolition reports from three quite different parts of the world. We have a report on demolition robots working in Singapore, an interesting and 'moving' story from Italy, and finally a blasting job carried out in Ireland.
China is certainly one of the big talking points at the moment, which is not surprising as the country has probably the biggest construction market in the world at the moment - despite the government's recent cooling measures. D&Ri reports on the China market from the recent Bauma China exhibition in Shanghai.
Against a very buoyant background, both North America's and Europe's demolition associations hold their annual conferences over the next few months; the National Demolition Association in Las Vegas in March and the European Demolition Association (EDA) in Budapest in June. The EDA also held a meeting recently in Marseilles, France.
