A unique spreader system was chosen by Bishop Lifting for a multi-point lift rig during the construction of the retaining wall for the Bigwell Membrane Plant for Severn Trent Water in the UK.Modulift designed and delivered an 11.5 m multiple spreader system with multiple lifting points to support the formwork. The formwork was 15.6 m wide by 6.65 m high. The spreader system had 10 lifting points, each with a safe working load of 7.5 tonnes. The rig included five Modulift 6 spreaders suspended from a Modulift 50 and a Modulift 24. Using chain blocks for adjustment enabled fast assembly and set up on site. The versatility of the system was the key to easily solving the exact requirements for the lifting rig.
