New handlers

24 April 2008

• JLG Industries is introducing its two compact European telehandlers into the US. Built in Belgium and using designs acquired from Fadeur, the first to be introduced is the THM 307 with a 6600 lb (3000 kg) maximum capacity and a 23 ft (7 m) lift height. The smaller 266 model - 19 ft (5.8 m) and 5700 lb (2600 kg) - will follow.

• JCB has added two compact handlers to its range, the 524-50 and 527-55. The latter has a maximum payload of 2700 kg and lift height of 5.6 m; the former is a 2400 kg/5.3 m reach model. JCB says 'The two models are designed to work on sites previously restricted to skid steer machines, but offer greater lift and reach performance.” Meanwhile, the company now offers integrated aerial platform attachments on four of its larger handlers, the 535-125, 535-140, 540-140 and 540-170, offering maximum working heights from 13.6 m to 18.1 m.
